Green Gulch: Yoga and Writing Retreat
WORDS TO LIVE BY: A YOGA AND WRITING RETREAT FOR WOMEN
at beautiful Green Gulch Farm in Muir Beach, California,
Join Dashka Slater and Julie Rappaport for a day that nurtures body and soul.
The Workshop:
Throughout the day, we will be reading and sharing our work in a
supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere, and learning techniques that
you can apply to your regular writing and yoga practices. Our day will
begin with a lively and centering yoga practice followed by breathing
and meditation. We will then move into a series of writing exercises
designed to help you find your story, break out of old habits and
patterns, and cultivate playfulness and curiosity. After a delicious,
vegetarian lunch, we will hike along coastal bluffs dappled with
lupines and sticky monkey flower, taking time to write along the way.
The day will close as it began, with asana, meditation and breathwork
that will leave you feeling calm, invigorated, and ready to continue
with the twin practices of yoga and writing.
